
Haifa Ali Karim (Director of the Administration Division), Sawsan Ghalib Abdul Latif (Senior Accountant) and Qahira Ali Abdul Hussein (Audit Manager) from the Marine Science Centre at the University of Basra participated in a specialised workshop on the work of the Budget Division, which was held by the University of Basra.
The workshop covered financial matters and practical applications relevant to the Budget Division's work, attended by specialists and individuals involved in financial matters, auditing and budgeting across various sectors.
Dr Ali Naim, Head of the Budget Department in the Administrative and Financial Division of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, gave a lecture on basic financial and administrative procedures. This covered the mechanisms for transferring financial allocations, as well as how to deal with bonuses and raises. It also covered the importance of preparing trial balances and final accounts and responding to memoranda from the Financial Control Bureau in accordance with government regulations.
The workshop aimed to enhance the efficiency of administrative and financial staff, equipping them with the necessary knowledge to address financial and administrative challenges with a high degree of professionalism and improve the practical skills of specialists in this field.
