Basra Marine Science and Environment Center discusses strengthening joint cooperation to monitor marine pollution

The Director General of the Marine Science Center, Assistant Professor Abdul Amir Rahim Jassim, visited the Basra Environment Directorate to discuss ways of cooperation for the purpose of monitoring marine pollution and preserving the marine environment.

The visit aimed to serve the community, which is embodied in the objectives of the Marine Science Center in "cooperating with... various government departments“ and ”providing scientific and technical advice to these institutions."

The visit included assessing and activating capabilities, agreeing to carry out joint applied research, cooperating to solve regional environmental challenges, developing training programs, providing scientific advice, opening up prospects for cooperation

and readiness to conclude scientific agreements and exchange experiences" and develop future plans for cooperation, including scientific research and field training.
