The Marine Science Center at the University of Basra participated in the second specialized workshop for the government team involved in preparing the Iraqi Environmental Encyclopedia, which was held at the Al-Alameen Center for Environmental Studies, Climate Change, and Water.

The workshop aimed to unify visions regarding the content of the encyclopedia and the mechanisms for its completion.

The workshop, which was attended by Prof. Dr. Shaker Ghalib Ajil, representing the Marine Science Center at the University of Basra,

included in-depth discussion sessions and interactive dialogues between academic and technical teams, addressing multiple topics, including the content of the encyclopedia volumes, the mechanisms for integrating research and technical work, scientific documentation standards, and ways to enhance coordination between data producers and research teams, thereby contributing to improving the quality of scientific outputs and ensuring their consistency with national sustainable development goals.
