The Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Division at the Marine Science Center at the University of Basra organized a workshop entitled “Updating Performance Evaluation Forms for the 2024-2025 Academic Year.”

The workshop aimed to present the changes in some sections of the performance evaluation form updated in 2025. A large number of researchers and support staff attended the workshop, and detailed discussions were held on some points and how to develop research work to make the most of the evaluation form.

This is in order to ensure the improvement of scientific and administrative performance.

The workshop, which was presented by Prof. Hassan Khalil Hassan, Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division at the Center, showed that performance evaluation is an essential tool for monitoring academic activity and identifying areas of strength and development, and that the performance evaluation form is the cornerstone of promoting constructive competition among the faculties of the University of Basra.

At the end of the workshop, the organizers recommended standardizing the mechanisms for working with the form and promoting the exchange of experiences between colleges, with the aim of improving the higher education environment at the University of Basra.
