Meeting Between the Director General of the Center for Marine Sciences and the Department of Estuarine and Marine Physics
​An official meeting was held between the Director General of the Center for Marine Sciences at the University of Basra and researchers and faculty members of the Department of Estuarine and Marine Physics. The meeting addressed several key topics related to the progress of academic and research work in the department.
​The meeting highlighted the need for daily attendance and adherence to official working hours in accordance with university regulations and instructions.
It also emphasized the role of physical attendance in strengthening institutional discipline and ensuring the optimal delivery of research and scientific services.
The second key point focused on the importance of improving the quality of scientific publications in reputable journals (both local and international), guiding researchers toward conducting applied research that serves Iraq’s marine environment and contributes to finding solutions to problems related to the Arabian Gulf and the Shatt al-Arab, and encouraging teamwork and the formation of joint research teams between the department’s faculty and researchers.
​This includes listening to the opinions and suggestions of department members and exploring ways to provide the necessary resources to support laboratory and field activities.
