Academic Leaders from the University of Basra Participate in a Meeting of the Council for Environmental Protection and Improvement
Two faculty members from the Center for Marine Sciences at the University of Basra—Prof. Dr. Abdul-Amir Rahim Jassim (Director General of the Center for Marine Sciences) and Prof. Dr. Abbas Adel Hantoush (Director of the Energy, Environment, and Water Unit at the University Presidency)—participated in a meeting of the Council for Environmental Protection and Improvement held at the Basra Governorate Office building.
The meeting included a review and discussion of a package of vital projects related to the water and environmental sectors in the governorate, as well as their submission to the local government for official approval and adoption, paving the way for their implementation given their strategic role in improving the environmental and water conditions in the governorate.
