The Director General of the Marine Sciences Center Meets with the Center’s Faculty Members and Researchers.
In an atmosphere characterized by a sense of family and administrative transparency, the Director General, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Amir Rahim Jassim, held a comprehensive and productive meeting with the Center’s faculty members.
 He opened the meeting with a welcoming remarks in which he expressed his gratitude for the tireless efforts of the administrative, technical, and research staff to advance the Center’s work and achieve its academic and institutional goals.
The purpose of the meeting, held in the Al-Mahri Hall at the Center, was to reaffirm full commitment to the directives of the Ministry and the University Presidency, while strengthening administrative and academic discipline within the Center, unifying the vision of the faculty and researchers in line with the policies of the Ministry and the University, monitoring the current state of research and academic performance, raising its standards, and ensuring the implementation of scientific plans and programs in accordance with .
The meeting included conveying the Ministry’s and the University Presidency’s directives to the attendees, emphasizing the need to adhere to them, stressing the importance of official working hours and the completion of tasks, and upholding administrative and legal regulations. It also called on the faculty to fulfill their responsibilities in the tasks assigned to them and urged researchers to adhere to their research plans, document their results, publish in reputable journals, and participate in conferences and scientific activities.
The meeting also included a discussion of ways to advance scientific research in the field of marine sciences, strengthen internal and external cooperation, and emphasize teamwork and collaboration among departments and research units.
Agreements were reached on follow-up mechanisms, periodic reporting, and performance evaluation. The floor was then opened for discussion and questions from attendees, and their suggestions and comments were heard.
This meeting served as an orientation and organizational session aimed at ensuring the Marine Sciences Center’s adherence to the directives of the Ministry and the University Presidency, enhancing the efficiency of scientific and administrative performance, and unifying the efforts of faculty and researchers to achieve the goals of the Center and the University.
