The Director General of the Marine Sciences Center, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Amir Rahim Jassim, is participating in the events of the Second International Conference on Applied Life Sciences (ICAB 2026), organized by the Department of Life Sciences at the College of Sciences, University of Basra, under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Aqil Fadel Hamad Al-Dahan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Imam Abdul-Zahra, and the Department Chair, Prof. Dr. Inam Mahmoud Najm Al-Rubaie.
The conference, held under the theme “New Horizons in Applied Life Sciences: Toward Smart and Sustainable Solutions,” took place over two days, September 16–17, 2026, at the Oil Cultural Center in Basra.
