The University of Basra announces significant progress in a number of research indicators related to the requirements of the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, according to the latest monitoring data for the 2021–2025 period.
The university recorded growth in scientific output from 4,585 to 5,452, an increase in international collaboration from 1,369 to 1,572, as well as an increase in the number of research papers ranked in the top 10% globally according to the FWCI index from 392 to 430.
This progress is the result of the efforts of the University of Basra’s researchers, faculty members, and academic units, as part of the university’s commitment to enhancing the quality and impact of scientific research, expanding international collaboration, and improving its standing in global rankings.
