The University of Basra Council held its 15th open session to discuss the university’s academic and scientific status.
The University of Basra Council, chaired by Dr. Aqil Fadel Al-Dahan, held its 15th morning open session in the presence of his assistants for scientific and administrative affairs, the Council secretary, and its members.
The session opened with a discussion of the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as the university presidency’s vision for developing academic work and promoting scientific research.
During the meeting, the agenda was reviewed, which included a discussion of scientific and administrative affairs and mechanisms for developing scientific research, as well as consideration of a number of issues concerning graduate and undergraduate students, approved in accordance with ministerial regulations and instructions.
Al-Dahan noted that the university is making steady progress toward achieving comprehensive academic quality, and that the outcomes of the regular University Council meeting were intended to enhance the efficiency of administrative and academic performance and propel scientific research to the level of world-class universities.
