A faculty member from the Center for Marine Sciences chairs a master’s thesis defense committee as part of the joint scientific collaboration among the units of the University of Basra.
Professor Dr. Abdul Zahra Abdul Rasul Al-Halo, a faculty member at the Center for Marine Sciences/University of Basra, chaired the master’s thesis defense committee for a graduate student in the College of Marine Sciences.

titled “Assessment of the Physical and Chemical Properties of Seawater in the Northwestern Arabian Gulf.”
The main objective of this thesis is to study and determine the environmental and qualitative status of the waters in the northwestern Arabian Gulf by measuring and analyzing the physical and chemical factors affecting them.
The Dean of the College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra presented a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Abdul Zahra Abdul Rasul Al-Halo for his efforts in reviewing and evaluating the thesis and enriching the discussion with valuable scientific information.
