Director General of the Marine Sciences Center at the University of Basra Inspects the Al-Manzouri Marsh Research Station

Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul-Amir Rahim Jassim, Director General of the Marine Sciences Center at the University of Basra, conducted a field visit to the Al-Manzouri Marsh Research Station.

The visit by the Director General of the Marine Sciences Center (University of Basra) to the Al-Manzouri Research Station in the Marshes represents an important step in supporting scientific research. These exploratory visits aim to transform the station into a distinguished educational and tourist destination and to overcome logistical obstacles.

The Director General was received at the station by

Dr. Ahmed Youssef Al-Asadi, the research station’s director, who presented the Director General with a detailed report on the status of ongoing work and rehabilitation maintenance procedures at the station to upgrade the infrastructure, as well as a review of the technical plans for the station’s development, to ensure its return to high-efficiency operation in support of scientific and environmental initiatives in the region.
