The Marine Sciences Center at the University of Basra organized a training course titled “Enhanced Bioremediation for the Removal of Environmental Pollutants”

The course aimed to enable participants to design and implement advanced strategies to accelerate the degradation of pollutants using living organisms

The course, presented by Dr. Star Aziz Ghamis and Dr. Raghad Shubar Jafar, provided a comprehensive explanation that enhanced bioremediation is not simply leaving pollutants to nature, but rather the precise engineering of the environment surrounding microbes so they can perform their function of cleaning up pollution faster and more efficiently, making it a promising solution in the field of environmental sustainability.
