The conference was held in the Al-Mustafa Hall at the College of Education for Girls, University of Baghdad.
The aim of the conference was to strengthen the link between developments in science and the humanities and openness to modern technological sciences, thereby contributing to keeping pace with contemporary knowledge transformations and supporting sound academic research.
The conference included a scientific discussion session that addressed the role of artificial intelligence in the development of geography, the importance of integrating geographical knowledge and smart technologies in analyzing spatial and environmental phenomena, and formulating scientific visions that contribute to building a more sustainable future.
Dr. Ayman Abdul Latif explained that the participation of researchers from the Science Center at the University of Basra in such scientific events enhances academic cooperation between Iraqi universities and contributes to the exchange of experiences and knowledge about the latest technical applications in scientific research, especially in areas where geography, particularly physical geography, and artificial intelligence intersect.
