In order to support sustainable development plans for the preservation of marine diversity, the Marine Science Center and the Faculty of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra published the eleventh issue of the monthly newsletter (Gulf Lights), which focuses on scientific activities, articles, research updates, academic forums, and various student contributions.

The newsletter included a range of research and academic activities related to the marine environment of the Arabian Gulf and a study of the diversity of living organisms therein.
