Professor Ahmed Jasb Al-Shimmari from the Marine Science Center at the University of Basra received certificates of appreciation for his scientific efforts as a scientific reviewer for a number of research papers at the 10th National Conference on Environment and Natural Resources (NCENR), which was held at the Faculty of Science at the University of Basra from October 29 to 30, 2025. .

This conference is one of the most prestigious national academic events, which aims to exchange scientific experiences and find practical solutions to address growing environmental and climate challenges by discussing the latest research in the fields of pollution, desertification, water, energy, and biodiversity, with the aim of achieving sustainable development.

It is worth noting that the conference research will be published in the IOP conference series indexed in the Scopus global database, which enhances the value of scientific participation and supports the presence of Iraqi researchers in international forums.
