Basra University organizes a course on food safety

The Marine Science Center at the University of Basra organized a training course on promoting food safety in restaurants, protecting public health, and improving quality of life.

The course aimed to enhance knowledge and skills related to food safety among individuals and institutions.

The course, lectured by Dr. Sita Aram Kyurk from the Marine Science Center, addressed the need to enhance food safety in restaurants to protect public health from foodborne diseases through the application of strict personal hygiene, temperature control, preventing cross-contamination, and using technologies such as HACCP and artificial intelligence. This ensures food quality and consumer safety, builds trust, and improves quality of life by providing a safe and nutritious food experience instead of the risks of disease and malnutrition.
