Dr. Mahmoud Shaker Hashim, a lecturer at the Marine Science Center at the University of Basra, participated in a seminar entitled “The Basics of Honey Bee Breeding” held at the Faculty of Agriculture.

The participation included a lecture entitled “Honey Bee Breeding.”

The lecture aimed to enable participants to acquire the knowledge and practical skills to manage apiaries scientifically, raise their awareness of the economic and environmental importance of bees, improve their income through projects, and provide them with techniques for pest and disease control and how to benefit from the various bee products (honey, wax, royal jelly, pollen) to ensure the sustainability of beekeeping and achieve economic and social goals.
