The Marine Science Center at the University of Basra organized a training course on oil pollution.

The course aimed to raise awareness of the problem of oil spills in the marine environment.

The course included a lecture by M.M. Mazen Abdul Hussein Baddin, a lecturer at the Marine Science Center. Mazen Abdul Hussein Baddin, identifying its causes and devastating effects on living organisms and ecosystems, reviewing traditional and innovative methods of combating this pollution, and highlighting international efforts and agreements to prevent pollution, promote a culture of marine environmental protection, and ensure its sustainability.
