Dr. Mohammed Mahdi Mohammed Al-Mousawi, a lecturer at the Marine Science Center at the University of Basra, participated in a seminar entitled “The Rights and Duties of University Students,” which was held at the Faculty of Pure Sciences.

The participation included a lecture entitled “Definition of Human Rights: Principles and Characteristics.”

The lecture aimed to raise awareness by defining human rights, their basic principles such as dignity, justice, and equality, and their main characteristics such as universality and indivisibility. It also aimed to enable university students to understand and defend their rights, promote respect for their rights and the rights of others, and contribute to building a university community based on justice and freedom.
