The Marine Science Center at the University of Basra organized a training course on obesity diagnosis.

The course aimed to assess a person's health status and identify the risks of obesity-related diseases in order to develop an appropriate treatment plan and identify possible complications.

The course, which was taught by Wasal Abdul Rahman Salem, a lecturer at the College of Dentistry, covered the causes of obesity and related diseases, methods of early diagnosis, as well as proper nutrition and weight management techniques. The course presented practical examples of effective nutrition and exercise programs, emphasizing the role of educational institutions in spreading health awareness and supporting scientific research that contributes to the fight against obesity and its related diseases.
