The Technology Incubator and Ecosystem Unit at the Marine Science Center at the University of Basra organized a visit to Al-Maqal Private University. This visit is part of the 2025-2026 annual plan for the Technology Incubator Unit at the Marine Science Center at the University of Basra.

The visit by a scientific team of professors and researchers from the center aimed to exchange experiences, build partnerships, and promote innovation and entrepreneurship. It also allowed the incubator to learn about different models and see how other universities deal with the challenges of developing ideas into successful projects.

The visit included a tour of the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the College of Engineering/Maqal University, learning about the nature of study and activities in the Department of Petroleum Engineering, and visiting its laboratories.

The visit included discussions between members of the scientific team and relevant university officials on the possibility of scientific cooperation between the university and the Marine Science Center in terms of conducting joint scientific research or assisting in its completion.

It also included building trust between the university, the community, and external institutions regarding the university's knowledge-based programs.

Discussions also focused on holding joint seminars and workshops to enhance the academic aspect of both sides.
