The workshop, presented by Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Razzaq Jassim from the Marine Science Center at the University of Basra, aimed to explain the role of recycling in environmental sustainability, the benefits of utilizing waste, and reducing pollutants.

The workshop focused on green chemistry applications, recycling waste to produce new materials, how to treat polluted water, and training on ways to convert waste into useful materials instead of accumulating it.
