Lecturer at the Marine Science Center participates in a seminar on the management of three fish species in the East Hammar Marshes, Iraq

Intisar Kamel Hamid, a lecturer at the Marine Science Center, participated in a seminar entitled “Management of Three Fish Species Stocks in Hor Sharq al-Hammar, Iraq,” which was held at the Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources.

The seminar addressed the description of environmental and demographic characteristics, represented by the length-weight relationship, relative condition factor, sex ratio, first sexual maturity, and spawning function, as well as stock indices for three economically important fish species in the marshes using the FiSAT II, Ver. 1.2.2 to generate the information needed to propose the administrative measures required to conserve fish stocks.
