Under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Shaker Ghalib Ajeel, Director General of the Marine Science Center at the University of Basra, the center held a special celebration at the University of Basra to commemorate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, attended by a group of faculty members and employees of the center. The celebration was marked by an atmosphere of friendship and solidarity to celebrate this special day. The celebration included a variety of cultural and religious events and activities, beginning with a recitation from the Holy Quran and prayers for the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.

The celebration included a lecture by Dr. Hussein Al-Karbalaei entitled “Lessons from the Biography of the Great Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family.”

In his moving lecture, he emphasized the importance of this day and its great impact on the lives of Muslims. He addressed the values of tolerance and love advocated by the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and pointed out the importance of applying these values in our daily lives and in our communities. He concluded his lecture by offering congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, expressing his hope that this positive spirit would continue at the center and in our society in general. The Director General of the center expressed his thanks and appreciation to everyone for their interaction and active participation in this celebration. In conclusion, this celebration reflected the spirit of solidarity and cooperation and promoted the values of tolerance and understanding that Islam calls for.
