Zainab Fadel Al-Tamimi, a lecturer at the Marine Science Center at the University of Basra, participated in an awareness seminar entitled “Women and Leadership/Public Speaking Skills, Team Management, Decision Making,” organized by the North Basra Electricity Distribution Company.

The participation included a lecture on the art of public speaking and its importance as a skill for effective communication with the audience through presenting a message or speech in an organized, clear, and influential manner. It also included developing the ability to express oneself, controlling body language and tone of voice, preparing content well, managing time, and overcoming the fear of facing an audience.

During the seminar, the lecturer touched on the foundations of developing leadership skills in women and the need to possess effective tools in the art of public speaking, team management, and decision-making, emphasizing that women are a key element in achieving institutional balance and developing the work environment.

The lecture aimed to highlight the importance of public speaking and rhetoric skills in professional and personal life for building confidence, establishing credibility, and inspiring and persuading others.
