Basra University is participating in a national workshop on the launch of Iraq's first environmental encyclopedia

Professor Kazem Hassan Younis of the University of Basra participated in the national workshop on Iraq's first environmental encyclopedia program, which was organized at the Institute of Higher Studies in the presence of Minister of Environment Dr. Hah Lo Al-Askari and former Minister of Oil Dr. Ibrahim Bahar Al-Ulum, with the participation of a select group of academics and specialists in the field of environment from various universities and scientific institutions in Iraq.

The workshop featured an extensive discussion on the development of the environmental encyclopedia chapters, with the dialogues focusing on the importance of keeping pace with modern environmental challenges and updating scientific content in line with global developments in various environmental areas. The need to strengthen cooperation between universities and research institutions to develop joint scientific projects that support environmental protection and promote the concept of sustainable development in Iraq was also emphasized.

Participants recommended the importance of continuing to organize such scientific events to further update and develop the environmental encyclopedia, thereby contributing to raising environmental awareness and providing a reliable scientific reference for decision-makers and those interested in environmental issues.
