Two lecturers at the University of Basra publish a study in an Italian journal within the global containers

Two lecturers at the Marine Science Center at the University of Basra, Dr. Amir Abbas Mohammed and Dr. Ammar Yasser Jassim, along with international researchers, published a scientific paper titled:

"Statistical Optimization of Culture Conditions for Enhanced Biomass Yield of Lactobacillus acidophilus CM1 Using Plackett–Burman and Response Surface Methodology in the International Journal of Food Science has the following publication status."

In the International Journal of Food Science (Open Access), published by John Wiley & Sons, a publishing house that specializes in all areas of food and food processing.

The paper, published in Scopus Q1 and Clarivate with an impact factor of 6.2, addressed the identification and optimization of growth parameters using the Plackett–Portman design (PDD).

This study aimed to enhance biomass production of Lactobacillus acidophilus CM1, supporting the development of cost-effective growth strategies for probiotic production. This approach provides a scalable model for optimizing bioprocesses in industrial fermentation.
