The Culture and Society Committee at the Marine Science Center at the University of Basra organized a special celebration on Monday to mark Eid al-Ghadir. The event was attended by a number of professors, staff, and distinguished guests.

The blessed celebration included several segments, beginning with a recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by poems recited by a number of the Center's faculty and guests. The poets competed on the poetry platform to celebrate this fragrant occasion.

Then, the Husseini reciter, Mulla Mustafa al-Saymari, took the stage and recited some hymns and songs dedicated to the blessed occasion.

The ceremony concluded with a competition in which many of the Center's members and guests participated, and several prizes were distributed to the winners.

May everyone have a happy new year. May God accept it sincerely for His sake and keep us all steadfast in the guardianship of the Commander of the Faithful and the Infallible Imams, may God's prayers and peace be upon them all.
