Basra University organizes a course on the use of marine sonar

Basra University Sciences Center organized a training course on how to use sonar technology and its applications in the marine fields.

The course aimed to train new researchers on how to use the marine sonar to take advantage of its advantages in measuring the depths of the water, discovering the bodies sunken in the bottoms of the sea, as well as it was able to draw detailed maps of the bottoms and determine its properties to determine the risks that sweep the severity of the ships.

The course in which Dr. Walaa Majeed Khader attended theoretical and practical exercises in explaining the types of sonar devices and the foundations of their work in the marine fields with the display of the device used in the center and how to use it and extract accurate data from it, and how to conduct surveys in it, and the most important surveys that he accomplished in marine waters and river channels in southern Iraq.
