To contribute to the preparation of Basra Governorate and improve its environment, Basra University organizes a lecture on the cultivation of the denial

The Center for Sea Sciences at Basra University organized a lecture entitled *The cultivation of the denial and its effects on the Iraqi environment *.

The lecture, delivered by Dr. Jihad Makki Awad, showed that the mangroves trees were not known in Iraq before Basra Governorate, which overlooks the Gulf, started using parts of the Iraqi coast by relying on a strategy that envisages planting thousands of seedlings over a period of five years in order to reduce the impacts of climate change at the local level, and improve the environment of coastal areas that have long been barren and broken.

The lecture aimed to confront climate changes and reduce the effects of global warming by cultivating the gray mangroves of manganese in the Iraqi coast to develop them and create new habitats for biological diversity and make them tourist attraction sites.
