Dr. Iman Abdullah Abdel-Ali, a lecturer at the Marine Science Center, participated in the Third International Scientific Conference for Medical Sciences, held at Al-Kunooz University College.
The participation included presenting a paper entitled "Design of a Biomechanical Treatment Unit for Oil Sludge Treatment at the Southern Refineries Company."
The research aimed to isolate bacteria that break down oil waste at the Southern Refineries Company, genetically identify these bacteria, and study their ability to produce biologically active substances and surfactants that increase the rate of oil waste breakdown.
