Field visit to enhance scientific cooperation with state institutions

As part of the Marine Consulting Office's efforts to enhance scientific cooperation with various state institutions, Dr. Raghad Jaafar Shabar and Dr. Abdul Amir Rahim Jassim, faculty members at the Center, accompanied by the Managing Director of Petro Baghdad Oil Services Company, visited the Oil Research and Development Center in Baghdad, affiliated with the Ministry of Oil.

This visit came in response to an invitation from the Center, with the aim of discussing mechanisms for joint scientific cooperation and strengthening communication channels between the two sides.

They were received by Engineer Ali Jassim Hamoud, Director of the Oil Research and Development Center, on Sunday, April 13, 2025.

During the meeting, mechanisms for developing future cooperation were discussed, particularly in the field of contracting with oil companies to conduct technical and environmental tests related to refining and extraction operations.

Both sides also emphasized the importance of unifying research efforts between national centers to meet the requirements of the oil sector according to the highest scientific standards.

Dr. Raghad highlighted the importance of this type of cooperation in building strategic partnerships with national scientific institutions and private sector companies. This collaboration aims to develop the technical and environmental testing system and enhance performance efficiency in the oil industry. This aligns with the government's program's focus on innovation and sustainability among Iraqi research institutions, as it is a fundamental pillar for driving innovation and promoting scientific development to keep pace with national and global requirements.
