During his visit to the Basra Environment Directorate and meeting with the Director of the Basra Environment Directorate, Dr. Walid Hamid Ahmed Al-Mousawi, Dr. Shaker Ghaleb Ajeel, Director General of the Marine Science Center, and his accompanying delegation discussed joint scientific and research cooperation.

The meeting addressed ways to enhance joint scientific and research cooperation to establish sound foundations for sustainable development, and the need for coordination between the two sides.

Dr. Shaker highlighted the importance of the existing scientific and research cooperation between the two sides in various fields, which extends over a long period. He emphasized the need to leverage joint efforts to implement applied scientific programs between the two sides to develop scientific research projects.

The Director General expressed the readiness of the Marine Science Center and the university to establish the best possible relations and cooperation, and to work on conducting specialized scientific studies, research, and experiments in areas of mutual interest.
