
The Marine Science Center organized a course titled "Closed Aquaculture Systems from an Environmental and Economic Perspective."
The course aimed to highlight the importance of using closed fish farming systems in protecting the environment and achieving a sustainable environment.
The course, presented by Dr. Abdul Amir Rahim Jassim and a number of researchers, addressed the role of closed aquaculture systems in effectively rationalizing water use, protecting biodiversity, minimizing the environmental impact of the use of pharmaceuticals and chemicals, reducing pollution in the aquatic environment, and preventing the spread of diseases.
It also highlighted the economic benefits of this type of system.
