The Marine Science Center at the University of Basra hosted Al-Rasoul (PBUH) Private Secondary School for Boys as part of a school science trip. The trip included a number of outstanding students and school staff. The trip aimed to enhance their skills in the field of sustainable development, conserve marine biodiversity, protect Iraqi coasts from pollution, and expose them to the latest laboratory experiments and methods of fish and shrimp farming. The visit included the screening of documentaries and recordings, lectures on the aquatic environment, and laboratory samples from research experiments. This helped students understand how the center's researchers work to solve underwater sustainability problems.
