As part of the scientific achievements at the Marine Science Center, a research team was able to record new genetic sequences for marine grouper fish.

As part of the scientific achievements of the Marine Science Center, a research team consisting of Professor Majid Abdul Aziz Banai, Dr. Najm Mohsen Aziz, lecturers Hanan Al Mansouri, Fawzi Mustafa Al Khaja, and research assistant Zahraa Shaker has registered new genetic sequences of marine grouper fish in the NCBI database. The sequences were determined using Sanger sequencing. This registration is an important step in documenting the genetic characteristics of grouper fish in the Arabian Gulf. This genetic data contributes to enhancing studies related to biodiversity, fish genetic evolution, and sustainable fishery resource management. We congratulate them on this distinguished scientific achievement and wish them continued success in their academic careers.
