Basra University organizes a course on the role of nanoparticles in environmental remediation

The Marine Science Center at the University of Basra organized a course titled "The Role of Nanoparticles in Environmental Remediation." The course, presented by Dr. Zuhair Ali Abdulnabi, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Marine Pollution, and a number of researchers, addressed the role of nanoparticles and their uses in environmental remediation. It also covered methods used in the remediation process, such as filtration using nanofilters and photocatalysts, and sedimentation and adsorption processes using various nanomaterials made from carbon, elements, their oxides, and polymers. The course aimed to highlight the importance of nanoparticles in eliminating many pollutants in the air, water, and soil.
