
The course, which was lectured by Dr. Jihad Makki Awad and a number of researchers, addressed the definition of aquatic plants as plants distinguished by characteristics that enable them to live and grow in diverse aquatic environments. They are of great environmental importance in maintaining a healthy water ecosystem.
The course showed how to divide them into groups to facilitate their study and identify the characteristics of each group, in addition to methods of collecting them and identifying the stages of preparing plant groups and preserving them in the herbarium.
The course aimed to introduce aquatic plants, their divisions, methods of collecting them, and how to preserve them in the herbarium to benefit from them as a reference or in any aspect of the study.
