Lecturers at the Marine Science Center, Dr. Muhammad Faris, Dr. Hassan Khalil Hassan, and Dr. Abbas Adel Hantoush, participated in a workshop on cybersecurity and data organized by the Information and Communication Technology Center at the University of Basra with the participation of advanced staff.

The workshop aimed to train participants on enhancing information security and data preservation mechanisms at the University of Basra.

The workshop, which was lectured by lecturer Rafid Muhammad Khalifa and lecturer Muhammad Diaa, included the basics of cybersecurity and how to deal with the data of members and systems used at the university and protect them from leakage, attacks, electronic hacking, or sharing them with other unreliable parties.

The workshop dealt with ways to protect academic data and research of lecturers from theft and tampering by presenting the latest technologies and practices followed in international universities to implement this privacy.
