The Culture and Society Committee at the Marine Science Center hosted an intellectual symposium on the occasion of the blessed Sha'ban births of the pure Imams, peace be upon them, in cooperation with the Elite Foundation for Education and Training, entitled The Political and Intellectual Roles of Imam Mahdi, peace be upon him, in the History of the Nation.

The symposium included lectures by Dr. Angers Taama Youssef, a lecturer at the College of Arts at the University of Basra, whose research paper was entitled (Strategies for Supporting the Awaited Imam between the Laws of Earth and Heaven.)

And the lecturer Sheikh Dr. Mithaq Ali Al-Saimri, whose research paper was entitled (Imam Mahdi, Pioneer of Human Justice.)

The center was honored by the presence of the Director of the Basra Branch, Dr. Ihsan Ashour, Dr. Thaer Al-Aqili, Dr. Mitham Khaled, and Mr. Ahmed Hodan, members of the Board of Directors of the Foundation. In conclusion, the researchers were honored and certificates of appreciation were exchanged between the Elite Foundation for Education and Training and the Marine Science Center.
