As part of the scientific activity held by the Marine Science Center, by holding continuing education courses for the academic year 2024-2025 for members of the center, the university and government institutions.

The Continuing Education Unit at the Marine Science Center organized a course entitled Parasites in Aquatic Organisms.

The course, in which lecturer Hanan Abdul Zahra Salbou Kh, Dr. Aqil Abdul Sahib Abdul Hussein and research assistant Zahraa Karim Shaker lectured, dealt with the life cycle of the liver parasite (Fasciola) that enters aquatic organisms as an intermediate host in them, such as snails, and the extent to which these parasites affect human and animal health, how to treat them, and ways to prevent infection with these parasites.
