A lecturer at the University of Basra publishes a scientific research in an international journal

The lecturer at the Marine Science Center at the University of Basra, Dr. Ammar Yasser Jassim, published a scientific research in cooperation with international researchers entitled "Study of cytotoxicity and DNA binding of biologically manufactured Eu2Sn2O7 nanoparticles using experimental and computational methods" in the journal (MATERIALS CHEMISTRY AND PHYSICS issued by the international publishing house Elsevier.

The research published in the (Scopus 1Q) container with an impact factor of (4.3)

The interest that biologically manufactured nanoparticles receive is due to their unique biological benefits in addition to the physiologically active plant active groups that support green synthesis. Pharmacodynamics are greatly affected by the interactions between drug molecules and DNA, as DNA is the primary target of many therapeutic drugs.

Therefore, this work presented a study on the environmentally friendly and reliable synthesis of nanoparticles of (Eu2Sn2O7) using plant extracts. The research was conducted on the cytotoxic activity and the binding of nanoparticles Eu2Sn2O7 with DNA. In addition to evaluating the cytotoxic potential of Eu2Sn2O7 nanoparticles against cancer cells.
