Within the framework of promoting the culture of responsible scientific research, Asst. Prof. Dr. Arafat Rajab Ahmed, Head of the Department of Biological Evolution at the Marine Sciences Center and Head of the Scientific Research Division at the Presidency of the University of Basra, gave a scientific lecture entitled "Ethics of Scientific Research and Academic Integrity" to graduate students at the university level.

The lecture discussed the most prominent challenges that researchers may face in this field, and ways to maintain the quality of research and avoid academic violations. The lecture witnessed a distinguished interaction from the students who showed great interest in the concepts of academic integrity and its role in enhancing the credibility of scientific research.
