The Marine Science Center organized awareness lectures for a group of students from Al-Hartha schools on ways to preserve the environment under the supervision of Professor Dr. Malik Hassan Ali and Dr. Wasal Awda Hassan for a group of students from Al-Hartha schools in Basra Governorate in the presidential palaces.

The awareness lectures addressed the importance of preserving the environment and its role in sustaining the biodiversity of various plant and animal organisms, in addition to visiting the Natural History Museum of the University of Basra and getting to know closely the types of aquatic and terrestrial life in the Iraqi environment.
