The Marine Science Center at the University of Basra held the fifth session of its regular council for the academic year 2024-2025, headed by the Director General, Dr. Shaker Ghaleb Ajil, and attended by the heads of scientific and administrative departments and members of the center's council. It recommended taking a number of decisions.

The council discussed many matters related to the scientific and administrative aspects of the center and included on its agenda. It was also emphasized to implement the ministerial directives and instructions of the university presidency.

The council also discussed several topics in continuation of the advancement of the scientific and practical progress of the center.
