A group of professors and employees of the Marine Science Center attended the specialized workshop entitled (Environmental Management ISO 14001 and Energy Management ISO 50001) which was held by the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the University of Basra and in the hall of the College of Pharmacy, Karma Ali Colleges Complex.

Under the direct supervision of Professor Dr. Abdul Karim Taher Yasser, Head of the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the University of Basra and a lecturer at the Marine Science Center

The workshop included a lecture entitled "Climate Change and Its Impact on Iraq", which is one of the awareness lectures on the launch and support of the National Initiative for Energy and Water and Reducing Emissions and the importance of meeting the projects and goals of the national policy of the initiative and achieving the tenth goal of those goals, which stipulates spreading culture and awareness among employees and students in the field of energy and environmental sustainability.

The lecture was given by the representative of the national initiative, the international trainer Mr. Ali Abdul Hassan Madhoush / Director of the Quality Department in the Electricity Production Directorate.
