Two researchers from the Marine Science Center participated in the activities of the Basics of Marine Scouting Course for Scout Leaders, which was held by the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Basra Governorate and the Scouts Department in the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Basra Governorate for the period from December 15 to 19. The participation of the researchers from the Marine Science Center included two lectures, the first entitled Navigational History in the Iraqi Sea by Professor Dr. Hassan Khalil Hassan, which dealt with developing the knowledge of the scouting teams about the Iraqi maritime situation, marine geographical features, navigation history and coastal nature. The second lecture by retired Captain Dr. Hussein Ghazi Khalifa focused on enhancing navigational experience and navigational skills in the field of safe sailing and safety inside ships.
