Two lecturers at the University of Basra publish an article in the Swiss Pharmaceuticals magazine

The two lecturers at the Marine Science Center at the University of Basra, Dr. Ammar Yasser Jassim and Dr. Amir Abbas Muhammad, published a scientific article in cooperation with international researchers entitled * Nanotechnology in the field of healthcare: Plant-derived nanoparticles in the treatment of diseases and regenerative medicine * in the journal (pharmaceuticals) issued by the Swiss publishing house (MDPI), which is concerned with medicinal chemistry and related pharmaceutical sciences.

The article published in the (Scopus 1Q) container with an impact factor of 4.3 aims to use plant-based nanotechnology as a promising and environmentally safer alternative to develop healthcare solutions, in line with global sustainability goals.

The article included a presentation of the potential of green plant-derived nanoparticles (PNPs) in medicine, highlighting their biocompatibility, multifunctionality, and environmental friendliness. The synthesized PNPs have shown promising potential in many

applications in drug delivery, cancer treatment, antimicrobial therapies, and tissue regeneration.
