Investing in the fruitful scientific cooperation between the Marine Science Center and the Iraqi Naval Forces Command, the scientific team consisting of Prof. Dr. Hoda Kazim Ahmed, Prof. Dr. Malik Hassan Ali, PhD student Prof. Hanaa Hussein Mohammed, and Prof. Dr. Walaa Majeed Khader, participated in a scientific marine trip on Wednesday 12/24/4 on board a patrol boat from the Naval Forces Command - Umm Qasr Base, to visit the coral reef site (the rock) near the oil ports in Iraqi marine waters in completion of the requirements of the doctoral project in surveying the coral area and collecting samples of coral, benthic invertebrates and sediments and recording some environmental factors, with the assistance of the divers' company and the command and ranks of the warship; thanking the distinguished efforts of the Commander of the Naval Forces and the Command of Umm Qasr Base and their effective role in supporting the scientific research process at the University of Basra and the Marine Science Center to facilitate the mission of researchers to reach important marine sites and enable the scientific team to accomplish its mission with ease and safety... May God guide their steps and make them the impregnable shield of our dear country...
